Hamburger Stroganoff is one of the easiest dishes you’ll ever make and it’s made from kitchen staples so it’s a great one to keep in your back pocket when you’re too busy to grocery shop!  Think Hamburger Helper easy, yet fresh, tasty, and frankly - not gross!

  • 1 lb ground hamburger
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sliced button mushrooms
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sherry cooking wine
  • 3 cups dried egg noodles

How to make itcooking hamburger stroganoff

  1. Brown ground meat; drain and set aside **Make sure you season the meat here (2 parts salt, 1 part pepper to taste)
  2. In the same pan (should be empty at this point) cook onions and garlic on med heat until the onions become somewhat clear
  3. Turn heat up to med-high and deglaze the pan with the sherry
  4. Let the sherry reduce by half then add mushrooms, soup, sour cream, and cooked beef
  5. In separate pot, cook egg noodles according to instructions on the box
  6. Add cooked noodles to the sauce, mix it well, and serve.
